It depends on how often your systems change, your risk profile and what customers or frameworks expect. Many organisations test at least annually and after significant changes.

Testing is planned to minimise disruption, with rules of engagement agreed in advance. Some tests can be run against staging environments where they reflect production.

Where a customer or regulator specifies a particular accreditation for testers or testing companies, we arrange delivery through a provider that holds it and confirm this in writing before testing begins.
